There only 4 countries whose citizens can travel to Saudi Arabia visa-free: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE. There is currently no visa available for tourism in the country, although that will change when the new Saudi Arabia eVisa is implemented, expected to be later this year. This Electronic Travel Authorization will be available through a simple online application and is expected to be available for a range of countries including the United States and all Schengen Area member states. At present, one of the most common reasons for a visit to Saudi Arabia is to undertake a religious pilgrimage to Mecca, Hijaz. Report ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that the government has provided E-visa facility to 175 countries. “Residents hailing from those 175 countries will get their visas within 7 to 10 days,” he stated while apprising the media about the decisions taken in the Federal Cabinet meeting today. Visa on arrival facility has been green-lightened for 50 countries, whereas a business visa facility will be provided to the foreigners to boost economic activities in the country. He further said India has been placed in the B-category of the visa regime and added that visa on arrival facility would not be available for its citizens.
